Student Success Statement
"No student ever attains eminent success by simply
doing what is required of him/her, it is the amount and excellence of what is
over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate
distinction."
-
Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian
What I think this quote
means is if you actually want to be successful in life you have to do more than
what is expected of you. If you just do what is expected of you, you will be
average you will be doing the same thing that the rest are doing. You must go
beyond what is expected of you to actually be able to stand out. For example if
your teacher tell you to only finish half of the work and you go ahead and the all
of it for extra work and you challenge yourself to do better you will be better
because you push yourself to do good.
