Student success Statement
"When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block.”
~James E. Faust

What I think that this quote means is that Obedience goes a long way. Actions go a long way. In today’s society, everyone is for themselves and tension build up which leads to disobedience. In life you face many hardships and tests but the one of the greatest ones is obedience. With temptation, everything becomes real and many act in a negative action. But the greatest test you will ever receive is survival.

“Courage is being scared to death and doing the right thing anyway.”
                                                                Chae Richardson

What I think that this quote means it that no matter what situation you are that you should always do what is right. you have to have the courage to do what is right even if you are scared that it won’t go good for you. Always do what is right even if you are scared. For example if you feel afraid that people will make fun of you because you are choosing the right, you still have to choose what is right because it is the right thing to do.

                                          Student Success Statement

"There is no giant step that does it. It's a lot of little steps."

                                                                 -ANON

I believe this quote means that you don't reach success easily in just one step it takes time and obstacles to get to success. It’s a lot of little steps to reach success which means it doesn't just happen overnight.  Always try your best every day to be the best. For example if you want to become the best basketball player in the world you have to train the best you can and try your best to be the best. You don’t wake up the best you have to work little by little to be the best. Taking little steps to become the best is the best way to become successful.

"Let us have faith that right makes right, and in that faith let us to the end dare to do our duty as we understand it."
                                                (Abraham Lincoln)

What this statement means to me is to make us understand what’s right, I feel that all the negativity we have towards each other should change. We need to do the right thing so everything can go well. For example, if you are told to do something and you have a partner who is not listening you need to keep doing the right thing and encourage them to do the right thing as well. You always have to choose the right.

"Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to those who look to the horizon."
                                    -Bud Greenspan

. If you're always in the same place your entire life, none of you will succeed and becoming something successful. You have to look to forward in order to succeed. You cannot succeed when you're just staying in the same place and looking and moving forward. Always think positive and get rid of the negative, make sure to always look to the future as a bright place and not a negative place and you will always have good things.

"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself."
                                                                 -Henry Ward Beecher

Reflection: You are your worst critic. Nobody will put higher standards for you than yourself. You will judge yourself far worse than anybody else. The only things you can do is live up to those standards and try to accomplish them as best as possible. It is no right to make excuses when you fail because then you will not learn from your mistakes and then you will always set yourself to fail in life.

                                                    Student Success Statement
"Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there."
                                                                       -Bo Jackson

What I think this quote means is that you always got to keep trying no matter what, don't ever give up regardless of how difficult it may be to reach your goal. The journey may be difficult but the results you get from putting in all that work will be worth it. Always set your goals high so you can accomplish high things in your life. For example if you set your goal to be a doctor and you try really hard and you are really motivated to become a doctor you will become a doctor. Always believe that you can accomplish your goals.
