                                                    STUDENT SUCCESS STATEMENT
“DOING WHAT IS RIGHT, FAIR AND HONORABLE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WINNING  OR LOSING.”

What I think that this quote means is that you always have to choose what is right even though at the end you loose. What matters at the end is that you tried your best and you choose to play fair and honorable. For example if you are playing a basketball game and you notice that the other team isn’t playing fair then you shouldn't go al9ong and start cheating as well. Another example could be if you are playing a sport and you take drugs to be faster and stronger then you are cheating and is not a fair and honorable thing to do. It is better to lose with honor then win in shame.

                                              Student Success Statement
"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself."
                                                                 -Henry Ward Beecher

Reflection: You are your worst critic. Nobody will put higher standards for you than yourself. You will judge yourself far worse than anybody else. The only things you can do is live up to those standards and try to accomplish them as best as possible. It is no right to make excuses when you fail because then you will not learn from your mistakes and then you will always set yourself to fail in life.

"Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get."
                                                                  -Mark Victor Hansen

Always set your mind to mind to your goal and you will succeed in life. I believe this quote means that the goals you set for yourself you are going to accomplish those goals. For example if you want to graduate high school with honors you'll get it because since you have your goal set you won't stop until you accomplish it. If your goal is to rob a store you can accomplish that but there will be lots of negative consequences afterwards. You accomplish the goals you set for yourself because if you don't set it as a goal how are you expected to accomplish it if you're not really thinking about it.
