Duties and Responsibilities:

They fit and dispense eyeglasses for patients based upon prescriptions written by ophthalmologist or optometrists. They help the customers select eyeglass frames and then measure their faces so that the right size for frames is ordered. Opticians may have their own retail store or work for an optical store. Some may also work for optometrists and ophthalmologists who sell eyeglasses.

Education:

Students who would like to become an optician should take high school courses in physics, algebra, mechanical drawing, and geometry. A high school diploma or a GED diploma is required to begin training as an optician. Students can either an approved two-year course at a school of opticianry or they can complete a three year on-the-job apprenticeship.

I don't think I would like to become an optician because I don’t find it as a interesting career for me.   \
