                                                 Student Success Statement
"I will persist until I succeed"
                                                                     -Og Mandino

I believe this quote means that you must you must not give up on your goals because then you will start giving up on everything and you will never be really successful.  The key in been successful is to never give up because if you give up you will never accomplish your goals in life. You have to push you self until you accomplish your goal and if you accomplish it set another higher goal to accomplish never stop striving for the best because we can always better our self there is always space for improvements in our life. A way that you will not improve is by giving up in the goal you have set. For example if you are getting a F in a class for school you want to improve it so you work hard and get a C. one you have accomplish it you noticed it wasn’t as hard so you try harder until you get an A and feel real good of yourself.

                                                            Student Success Statement

"Nothing in the world can take the place of PERSISTENCE.
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "Press On'
Has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
                                                        - President Calvin Coolidge

What I think that President Calvin Coolidge was stating was that if you don't have the persistence to keep going in life no matter if you are talented or genius or educated or not you will be a failure. Persistence is what gets you to where you want to go, it gets you to success because success never comes easy. You may have a talent, but someone else may have the talents as well and if you want to be successful with the talent you won't give up on it, you'll have the persistence to keep on going until people recognize your talent. For example many are great singers and many record labels tell them no, but if they don't give up in the end they find a record label that wants to sign them on and then they become number one artists and those other record labels that said no start to regret it.

                                         Student Success Statement
"Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement."
                                                                     -Matt Biondi
                                                            Olympic Gold Medal Winner,
                                                                   World Record Holder

I think this statement is true. If you keep trying at something regardless of what it might be, you can change the outcome of it, if you didn't like it, into an outcome that you do approve of and are happy about. For example, if you have an F, with great persistence and effort, you can change that F into a grade you're more proud of.

                                                           Student Success Statement

'The answers to these questions will determine your success or failure:
1. Can people trust me to do what's right? Yes
2. Am I committed to doing my very best? Yes
3. Do I treat the way I want to be treated? Yes
If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."
                                                                 -Lou Holtz

Reflection: I do believe people can trust me to do what's right. If you don't, people just won't trust you and won't believe in you. If you aren't committed to doing our very best, then you won't try and put effort into the things you do and again, people won't trust you. I do treat people the way I'd like to be treated

"Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to those who look to the horizon."
                                    -Bud Greenspan

. If you're always in the same place your entire life, none of you will succeed and becoming something successful. You have to look to forward in order to succeed. You cannot succeed when you're just staying in the same place and looking and moving forward. Always think positive and get rid of the negative, make sure to always look to the future as a bright place and not a negative place and you will always have good things.

                         Student Success Statement

"No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her, it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction."

                                            - Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian

What I think this quote means is if you actually want to be successful in life you have to do more than what is expected of you. If you just do what is expected of you, you will be average you will be doing the same thing that the rest are doing. You must go beyond what is expected of you to actually be able to stand out. For example if your teacher tell you to only finish half of the work and you go ahead and the all of it for extra work and you challenge yourself to do better you will be better because you push yourself to do good.
