what i think this quote this means is that is that if you have a good conscience that  you will be more conferrable with yourself. that having a good inner feeling with you self will be the best thing in your mind. for example if you have done something bad it will be in your conscience will be bugging you that you have done something wrong and you wont be able to live your self so if you get your conscience clear you will;l be able to be more conferrable and relaxed
